Clear data disclosure

What GymOS reads

GymOS requests selected read-only permission groups because its primary feature is a connected view of training load, recovery, nutrition and health measurements over time.

Activity and fitness

Steps, workouts, energy, distance, heart-rate zones, fitness estimates and recorded workout routes.

Health measurements

Heart rate, HRV, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, glucose, ECG, rhythm notifications and body measurements.

Sleep and nutrition

Sleep timing and duration, food, hydration and nutrition records used in personal recovery and performance reviews.

Account profile, units, settings and paired-device information may also be read where needed to interpret these records correctly. Data is accessed only when it exists in the connected account.

Purpose

Personal analysis, not a data product

The data is used to create private longitudinal reports, compare training with sleep and recovery, reconcile nutrition and body measurements, and preserve an auditable personal record. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, used for credit decisions or used to build advertising profiles. Selected records or summaries may be processed by OpenAI only to provide the user-requested GymOS analysis.

How access is bounded

  • Read-only access: GymOS cannot add, change or delete Google Health data.
  • Private use: the application is operated for one authorised user, not offered as a public service.
  • Bounded processing: the primary archive stays local; selected records or summaries may be processed by OpenAI for user-requested analysis.
  • User control: access can be revoked in the Google Account, and locally held data can be deleted on request.
